PRIMARY LEVEL

Gradually after children grow and enter the primary section (Class I-V), our aim is to put the children at the centre of their own learning and place great emphasis on nurturing skills and attitudes such as resourcefulness, resilience and co-operation.

Enable them to make links between the individual subjects and applying them to topics. We have designed our primary wing with a special focus on every child’s needs. Every child is valued as an individual and our teachers work on their all-round development.

Orientation programmes of parents are conducted at the start of the year to brief them on the implementation of the syllabi and the varied activities that are conducted during the year.

Updates of student performance is done through Parent-Teacher meetings that are held during the year. Several awareness drivers viz. Cleanliness, First Aid, Importance of Plants and Trees, Eating Healthy Food etc. are held from time to time. Selected students are formally invested as Prefects and assist in the maintenance of discipline and smooth functioning of the school. 

There will be a Continuous and Comprehensive Assessment process for Classes I-V. This will include:

  • Written Tests.
  • Internal Assessments.
  • A formal examination at the end of the year.

LIBRARY

The Library is unrivalled with numerous books for student reference and good reading. The library also has Digital content for students of all classes.

The students are encouraged to cultivate good reading habits and use the library as an important centre for learning.

The school subscribes to sufficient number of newspapers and magazines suitable for students.

Computer Aided Learning 

The school has well-equipped computer laboratories stocked with educational CDs and DVDs. A computer-student ratio of 1:2 is maintained to enable students to work comfortably on the computers.

Classrooms are equipped with Edu Comp to enhance learning. Audio-visual classrooms with aids like LCD projectors are used regularly to make learning more enjoyable and interesting.

Transportation Facilities

Our well ventilated classrooms are equipped with interactive smart board, also known as an electronic whiteboard. This classroom tool allows images and 3 dimensional videos from a computer screen to be displayed onto a classroom board using a digital projector.

The school has a good fleet of buses plying the students to and fro from school, covering a major portion of Thane city. Trained lady attendants are onboard enroute to take maximum care of our students as Safety is our priority.

Co-Curricular Activities

To pave the way for such non-cognitive learning we organize a variety of competitions and cultural events which also support formal learning. Inter class/house competitions such as debate, recitation, fancy dress, group song, folk dance, rangoli, art and craft etc. provide learning experiences which enrich the educational and social development of the students.

Hand in hand with class-room education, such events provide the students with an opportunity to be a part of a broad spectrum of activities which promote the development of a “Complete Being.”

Medical Facilities and First Aid The School has a first aid facility of its own. Regular medical check-ups for the entire school is done routinely. Reports of any medical examination will be sent to the parents of students who require special treatment. The school will have tie-ups with all Specialists who will be made available if it is required.
